BAU 2013: Nemetschek Allplan’s “Connecting to Collaborate” tradeshow appearance

Germany/Munich, January 8, 2013 – From January 14 to 19, 2013 Nemetschek Allplan will be presenting integrated software solutions for architects, engineers and facility managers in Hall C3, booth 320 of Munich’s “BAU 2013”, the leading world tradeshow for the construction sector. The solutions range from Building Information Modeling (BIM) to working with intelligent 3D building models in Allplan and digital plan management with Allplan Exchange. Sven Larsen, Managing Director of Nemetschek Allplan: “With innovative technologies and working methods such as Building Information Modeling, we support architects and engineers, enabling them to work quickly, productively and without errors. As well as interdisciplinary cooperation via the 3D building model, these also increasingly include cloud and web services.”

The highlight of the first day of the show will be the presentation of bim+. This open, vendor-independent platform connects everybody involved in the construction project and represents a type of virtual marketplace for the construction sector. bim+ allows you to manage BIM information, share it with project members, and to receive information on the entire building lifecycle.

OpenBIM is an important point of strategic cooperation in this area. It represents a global initiative of several leading software vendors in the area of design, construction and management of buildings, based on open standards and workflows. Nemetschek Allplan actively supports OpenBIM to promote interdisciplinary cooperation within the AEC sector.

Another example of using modern technologies in the construction sector is the Allplan Exchange web-based plan management software first presented at the launch of the 2013 version of Allplan. It accelerates the formatting and sending of plan data, providing significant cost and time savings. Architects, civil engineers and designers can use the module integrated in Allplan to save, archive and send plans created within the CAD system in different formats to other project partners via the web-based online platform. This means that the most up-to-date plan information is available at all times over the course of the project.

At the booth Allplan products as well as excellent international customer projects several times a day will be presented. And not only Nemetschek Allplan has new products to present. Other strong brands within the Nemetschek Group, such as Nemetschek Bausoftware, Nemetschek Engineering, Glaser, Nemetschek Scia, Frilo and Maxon, as well as some German sales partners are also represented at the booth. Auer Bausoftware will be represented at their own booth in the same hall.

Finally, Nemetschek AG is inviting participants to its traditional Architecture Quartet discussion on January 14, 2013 from 6.30 PM in the foyer of the Nemetschek Headquarters. This year’s topic: “Living – the rules and the exception”. You can expect an entertainment program followed by a gathering with cocktails, finger food and music. Guests will include Jórunn Ragnarsdóttír (LRO, Stuttgart), Paula Bosch (sommelière), Friederike Meyer (journalist, ‘Bauwelt’) and Wolfgang Bachmann (publisher, ‘Baumeister’).
