Yi Pin Lan Wan, Wuhan (China)

The colossal building complex "Yi Pin Lan Wan" in Wuhan, Hubei, China captivates with an impressive gross-building-area of about 130,000 sqm. Approximately 60 percent of the total construction volume was erected using precast concrete elements. The building contractor used sandwich walls, filigree slabs as well as precast balconies, staircases and partition walls.

Nemetschek brand involved: Precast Software Engineering

The PLANBAR software from Precast Software Engineering played a decisive role in this project. All precast parts of the project were planned using the highly industrialized precast concrete software. Traditional 2D drawings could be replaced by a three-dimensional building model. Thanks to the precise input of parameters and the fast transfer of planning and information, the workload of the precast planning was considerably reduced, planning errors avoided and planning efficiency improved in the long term. Wall, slab, beam and support models were mainly generated by the architecture module, while prefabricated parts with special shapes such as balconies or staircases were for the most part freely modelled.

In 2014, Precast Software Engineering GmbH set up its own office in Shanghai to provide the best possible support to its large customer base in China. From here, seven precast parts specialists support Chinese customers in planning and application as well as in all questions that arise.
