Patrik Heider

Spokesman of the Executive Board and Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) of Nemetschek SE

Patrik Heider (born in 1973) is Spokesman of the Executive Board and CFOO of Nemetschek SE, headquartered in Munich. In this function, he is responsible for the strategic holding and the overall brand strategy of the Nemetschek Group.

After studying Business Administration at the University of Applied Studies and Research, Constance (Fachhochschule Konstanz), he began his professional career as a consultant at PwC Consulting and the renowned, internationally active IBM Global Services. Patrik Heider then switched to Hoffmann Holding, Europe’s leading system partner for quality tools. During the course of his over 10-year career at Hoffmann Holding, he contributed considerably to advancing the company, lastly as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, his responsibilities included strategic alignment and all transactions in the area of M&A of the corporate group. In addition, he was General Manager of several international subsidiaries.

Besides his many years of experience and comprehensive expertise in finance, he possesses international project management know-how combined with a high level of strategic leadership competence. His extensive operative and strategic experience is to the benefit of the Nemetschek Group to intensify its future international growth strategy.



Sean Flaherty

Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Nemetschek SE

Sean Flaherty (born 1969) is Chief Strategy Officer of Nemetschek SE. With his profound knowledge of international markets and looking back on many years of experience in the software industry, he forms part of the Executive Board of Nemetschek SE.

In this function, he accounts for the overall Nemetschek Group strategy and its performance in the global architecture, engineering, construction and management markets.

In addition, he is responsible for the group-wide M&A strategy, its technology development and PR industry establishment.

An innovator and proponent of computer aided design (CAD) software for more than 25 years, Sean is an industry veteran who has played an instrumental part in creating design software that works the way designers think, and he was a proponent of Building Information Modeling (BIM) before it became an industry trend.

Sean Flaherty started his career as a software engineer with Diehl Graphsoft, Inc. and was hired to add 2D draftings for MiniCAD, the precursor to Vectorworks, which was only 3D, back then. In the course of his career he took on more and more management-focused roles and was Vice President of Engineering when Diehl Graphsoft merged with Nemetschek in 2000. Following his post as Chief Technology Officer, he became CEO of Vectorworks in 2005 and was thus in charge of the strategic and operative management with the objective to further increase revenue, growth and market share. In November 2013 he was appointed to the Executive Board of the Nemetschek Group. Since April 2016 he is exclusively working as CSO of the Nemetschek Group. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.



Viktor Várkonyi

Chief Executive Officer of GRAPHISOFT and Member of the Executive Board of Nemetschek SE

Viktor Várkonyi (born 1967) is Chief Executive Officer of GRAPHISOFT, based in Hungary. In this role, Viktor Várkonyi is responsible for the global business operations of GRAPHISOFT.

In addition he brings his strategic leadership, experience and passion for technology and his international background to the Executive Board of Nemetschek SE. As Member of the Executive Board he focuses on the overall Group strategy to extend Nemetschek’s position in global markets.

Mr. Várkonyi has 20 years of experience in the IT industry and is specialized in developing Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions for the AEC industry. Over the past fifteen years he has held various executive positions and most recently led GRAPHISOFT's product developments. He was named CEO in January 2009 and Member of the Executive Board in November 2013.

Before this, he worked on the development of various breakthrough technologies that has been key to turn model based building design and simulation into the mainstream workflow of the AEC industry as we can witness it today.

Viktor Várkonyi graduated as an electrical engineer and holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Budapest University of Technology as well as an MBA from Purdue University – Krannert School of Management.
