Natural Geothermal Energy for Environmentally Friendly Energy Supply

This project is the first geothermic power station of this size in the Netherlands, in which heat from inside the earth (ca. 2km) is pumped up and distributed to several districts and companies. The main structure is a steel structure with a concrete floor and foundation. The plant is constructed on concrete piles. The structure was designed as a 3D model in Scia Engineer. The steel structure and the concrete foundation with basement are placed into this model. Adjusting the model during the design stage and possible changes during the excavation have been and will be easy to make.
