With the latest software update, the provider of solutions for structural analysis and design is bringing numerous new and improved program features to the market. Highlights include the optimised design of Sch\u00f6ck Isok\u00f6rbe\u00ae, the advanced integration of DC foundation engineering programs into the FRILO environment and new RSX interfaces for detail verifications in steel construction.<br><\/p>\n<p>With the FRILO version 2024-2, the integration of Sch\u00f6ck Isokorb\u00ae has been further developed. During the design in the PLT FRILO slab program, users are now able to incorporate the Sch\u00f6ck Isokorb\u00ae types K-U and K-O with height offset as well as the type Z with load-bearing properties for cantilevered components. In the graphically optimised properties dialog of the PLT, the user also has the option of changing the Sch\u00f6ck Isokorb\u00ae insulation proposed by the program after the calculation. Small internal forces can optionally be neglected in the design of the Sch\u00f6ck Isokorb\u00ae, and bar projections can be displayed for collision planning. Furthermore, the structural-physical values were added to the output table of the Sch\u00f6ck Isokorb\u00ae element used.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Determining utilisation factors for masonry walls in fire incidents<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For masonry walls, users of the MWX+, MWM+ and MWK+ programs can determine the utilisation factor in the event of fire (\u03b16,fi or \u03b1fi). Thanks to the factor and by consulting the relevant standard, the wall can be categorised into fire resistance classes depending on the wall thickness. The resulting utilisation factors are implemented in the output and can be used directly for the fire-safety analysis. In addition, the approval database for the products of Wienerberger GmbH, Schlagmann Poroton GmbH &amp; Co. KG. and BV Leichtbeton has been updated to the latest state in all of the four masonry programs. With the provided approval information, a direct link to the approval of the respective manufacturer has been implemented. In addition, the validity of the approval is indicated both in the material dialog and in the output. Moreover, the user can now select whether the self-weight of the walls should be applied in full, with 50 % or not at all (except in MWM+).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grouted micropiles &amp; pipe grouted piles for pile foundations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For pile foundations, structural engineers can use the new pile types grouted micropiles and pipe grouted piles with the option of internal and external design in Pfahl+. For ductile driven piles, grouted micropiles and pipe grouted piles, the buckling analysis can be performed as a stability verification according to Ofner and Wimmer. Standardised hot-rolled and cold-rolled rectangular pipe sections in various geometries and wall thicknesses can now also be selected in the profile table for prefabricated drilled steel piles. In the foundation programs FD+, FDB+, FDS+ and GBR+, FRILO 2024-2 can be used to define block loads on a foundation, i. e. additional loads limited in both directions in the floor plan. The user can decide in which quadrants the loads are to be applied. With the add-on FD-PRO, users can now also model, calculate and design circular foundations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Design single-sided plate beams (L-beams) for all flange positions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the design of reinforced concrete beams, the cross-section database in the Continuous Beam program DLT+ has been extended to include L-beam cross-sections with the plate on top right, top left, bottom right or bottom left. Consequently, the height, web thickness, plate width and plate height can also be configured for L-beams in the cross-section dialog. In the system view, users can display the calculated effective plate width for single-sided (L) and double-sided (T) plate beams both in the user interface and the output document as a graphic. When the lateral reinforcement of timber beams is realised using steel cross-sections, timber beams can be reinforced with U-profile ranges, L-profile ranges or flat steel profiles. Because the profiles of the flat steel range are arranged horizontally as a standard (width x height), the user can rotate this type of reinforcement cross-section by 90\u00b0 in the data-entry section of the system under \"Reinforcement left\" and \"Reinforcement right\".<\/p>\n<p><strong>New interfaces for detail verifications in steel construction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The framework program RSX can transfer internal forces, cross-sections and materials for the design of frame corners (SRE+), butt plate joints (SPS+), angle connections (SWA+) and fin plates (SFB+) to the respective FRILO programs. The transfer is limited to 2D internal forces. User-defined design sections can be created in RSX and transferred to SQN+ for graphical visualisation of the stress behaviour. For sets of members or individual members, users can transfer the structural system and its dimensions as well as the cross-section and the loads to DLT+. On the defined structural system for the components column, main beam, secondary beam and fin plate verifications can be performed depending on the different steel types and steel grades. Intermediate supports can now be entered in the z-direction in the STS+ steel column program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Integration of the DC Foundation Engineering programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the integration of the DC software into the FRILO environment, the administration of all DC programs and items is now concentrated in the FRILO Control Center. Thanks to new technologies such as digital twins, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions, as well as our intensified go-to-market approach, we have established strong and important growth drivers for the future.\u201d<\/p><p><strong>Key Group Figures in Q1 2024<\/strong><\/p><ul>\n<li>The main drivers in Q1 were once again the revenues from <strong>subscription and SaaS offerings<\/strong>, which grew over-proportionally compared to the Group\u2019s total revenue by 66.5% (currency-adjusted: 68.0%) to EUR 106.3 million.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>annual recurring revenues (ARR)<\/strong> grew by 24.5% (currency-adjusted: 25.4%) year over year to EUR 743.6 million. The ARR growth was therefore well above the revenue growth, which indicates a high growth potential in the next 12 months.<\/li>\n<li>In line with the group\u2019s strategy, the <strong>share of recurring revenues<\/strong> as a percentage of total revenues increased in the first three months of the year by 10 percentage points year over year to 83.0% (previous year: 73.0%).<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Group revenue<\/strong> grew in Q1 by 9.4% year over year (currency-adjusted: 10.3%) to EUR 223.9 million while the simultaneous transition to subscription and SaaS models continued successfully according to plan.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA)<\/strong> increased by 11.9% (currency-adjusted: 8.5%) compared to the first quarter last year and amounted to EUR 68.3 million. Consequently, the EBITDA margin increased to 30.5% (Q1 2023: 29.8%).<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Net income for the quarter<\/strong> grew strongly by 17.4% to EUR 42.5 million, corresponding to earnings per share of EUR 0.37 (Q1 2023: EUR 0.31).<\/li>\n<\/ul><p><strong>Strategic Highlights<\/strong><\/p><ul>\n<li>The Group-wide transition to <strong>subscription and SaaS models<\/strong> is continuing successfully according to plan, which is reflected in the very high share of recurring revenues of 83.0% at the end of Q1.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>internationalization<\/strong> as well as the intensified <strong>go-to-market approach<\/strong> were also further strengthened in the first quarter. In order to increase its activities in the Asia-Pacific region, the Nemetschek Group has expanded its presence in Mumbai, India, with a new location in order to participate to an even greater extent from the high growth and market potential of this region. The focus of the Group's sales activities will initially concentrate on selected products and product packages from the brands Allplan, Bluebeam, Graphisoft, RISA, Solibri and Vectorworks as well as the digital twin solution dTwin. The attractive packages will be sold jointly under the Nemetschek Group brand. After Hyderabad, where Nemetschek already operates a shared services, development and research excellence center, Mumbai is the group\u2019s second location in India.<\/li>\n<li>During the first quarter, the Nemetschek Group has entered into two new <strong>strategic partnerships<\/strong>. The partnership with Hexagon's Geosystems Division will drive the digital transformation of the AEC\/O industry. The Nemetschek Group has always been committed to and pioneering open industry standards to improve workflows in the construction and media industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p><strong>Segment Developments in Q1 2024 <\/strong>(See Table)<\/p><ul>\n<li>The <strong>Design segment<\/strong> recorded a growth of 8.7% (currency-adjusted: 9.3%) to EUR 115.6 million in Q1. The EBITDA grew by 18.0% to EUR 35.5 million, which corresponds to an EBITDA margin of 30.7% (Q1 2023: 28.3%). The main growth drivers were revenues from subscriptions and SaaS models, which increased by around 65%. The accounting-related temporary dampening effects of the accelerated transition to subscription and SaaS are expected to have a stronger impact in the coming quarters in line with plan.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Build segment<\/strong>, the transition to subscription and SaaS models of Bluebeam, the Nemetschek Group's largest brand, continues to be successful. The share of this revenue category more than doubled from 29.4% in Q1 2023 to more than 65% in the current quarter. Segment revenue in Q1 increased in line with plan by 9.0% (currency-adjusted: 10.0%) to EUR 67.5 million despite the significant and expected decline in license revenue. The EBITDA margin was 31.1% (Q1 2023: 35.2%). The transition of the business model will have a particularly positive impact on growth in Q4, as the prior-year comparison basis in the final quarter does not include license sales for the first time. <\/li>\n<li>The growth in the <strong>Media segment<\/strong> re-accelerated in Q1. Revenue increased by 9.7% (currency-adjusted: 10.9%) to EUR 29.4 million. The EBITDA margin reached a high 37.4% (prior-year period: 35.2%).<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Manage<\/strong> <strong>segment<\/strong>, revenue increased to EUR 12.5 million, representing a growth of 9.9% (currency-adjusted: 9.9%). The EBITDA margin reached 6.6% (previous year: -2.7%). <\/li>\n<\/ul><p><strong>Outlook for 2024 and Ambition for 2025 Confirmed<\/strong><\/p><p>Following the successful start to the year, the Executive Board confirms the targets already communicated for the current <strong>financial year 2024<\/strong>. The currency-adjusted revenue growth is expected to be in the range of 10 to 11%. The growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR) is forecasted to grow by around 25%, so significantly faster than Group revenues. The share of recurring revenue as a percentage of total revenue is expected to increase further to around 85% in 2024.
