Living on the vertical village street
The 100-meter-high residential building located in a new quarter of the city in the north of Vienna contains more than 300 apartments – many of which are publicly subsidized. In addition to the flowing exterior of the compact building, which seems to meander in wave-like motion, another special characteristic of the high-rise immediately catches the eye: the so-called vertical village street. Opposite the elevators there are communal areas distributed on the 34 floors, some extending across multiple stories. These areas provide space for various activities and for residents to interact.
