Construction of a Zero-energy House
Cliffhanger is the first zero-energy house in Schwäbisch Hall. This means it does not require an external energy supply and can provide all its energy requirements independently by means of its solar power system. Compared to a low-energy building, this house also needs up to 80 percent less heating energy. An optimally insulated shell ensures that the energy consumption is no more than 15 kWh per year. This low requirement is covered by passive solar components, which also supply the power for controlled ventilation.
