The Engineering Group supports practical training in civil engineering. Nowadays, work on concrete projects is standard practice for students – and work of this kind is inconceivable without access to state-of-the-art software solutions. Interest among students in the latest software releases is accordingly high. This is why the companies in the Engineering Group are offering students and teachers free access to the current full-feature versions of the 3D planning and design software Allplan and Scia Engineer as well as to more than 90 program modules from Frilo Structural Analysis. Future civil engineers can use these programs to create general arrangement and reinforcement designs and to calculate structures. In addition, the Allplan and Scia Internet portals feature extensive training material for students and teachers as well as discussion forums.
